The Northern Durbar

The Durbar in Northern Nigeria is a century-old tradition celebrated in the Northern cities like Kano, Zaria, and Sokoto. Usually, during Muslim holidays, it consists of horse parades, music, and drumming, often at the Emir’s possession. The Durbar is a ceremony where beautiful horses are displayed and culture is celebrated.
